- 4-5 large tomatoes chopped
- 1/2 red onion chopped
- 5 fresh basil leaves chopped
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- balsamic glaze garnish
- 12 slices french bread
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 2 tablespoons butter melted
First, chop the tomato, red onion, and fresh basil leaves and place in a medium bowl.
Pour the olive oil over the fresh ingredients and add the salt.
Mix together well and refrigerate while you toast the bread.
Take the French bread and cut it into 12 slices about 1 inch each in thickness.
Melt the butter and stir in your minced garlic.
Brush both sides of the bread with the butter and garlic mixture.
Place in the oven at 350 degrees until both sides are a golden color. You should flip the slices at least once so both sides toast evenly.
Put a heavy spoonful of the tomato topping onto each slice and drizzle with balsamic glaze. Enjoy!
